I walked in and noticed all the lights were off. I flipped the switch and took a seat behind the desk. I looked at the clutter in front of me and mentally assessed the tasks ahead. I suddenly remembered he wouldn’t be coming in today and, so; my motivation would be lacking. She took a seat across from me. Her thin yellow hair complemented her matching top and light gray suit. She spoke rapidly and I found it difficult to follow her thoughts. We briefly commiserated over our mutual dislike for our positions and then she headed to her office. Closing the door behind her, I contemplated the surrounding four walls. I couldn’t remember how I had gotten situated between them.
